Authorities are continuing to investigate a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 155 in Chilton County on Tuesday.

A 2002 Chevrolet crashed near County Road 33 in Jemison around 5:25 p.m., where the driver was ejected, according to Cpl. Jesse Thornton with Alabama Department of Public Safety.

Thornton said the driver sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the individual involved in the crash had not been released as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to emergency dispatch reports, Lifesaver emergency helicopter was dispatched and transported the patient to a hospital.

Thornton said there were no other occupants in the vehicle.

No other information was immediately available, but Alabama State Troopers will continue to investigate the incident.
