Maplesville Majors football team wins youth championship

We’re No. 1: The Maplesville Majors youth football team won the Chilton Division 2 championship.

We’re No. 1: The Maplesville Majors youth football team won the Chilton Division 2 championship.

The Maplesville Majors (10- and 11-year-olds) football team claimed the Chilton Youth League Division 2 championship with a 26-0 win over Thorsby.

The championship marked the sixth consecutive title for the group of players.

The Maplesville Majors team includes: Joseph Johnson, Tre’Von Blackmon, Scooter Drummond, Jackson Abbott, Trenton Allen, Brody Hubbert, Latrell Wilson, Jordan Lee, Kenderrick Jones, Elijah Hatcher, Travis McKenzie, Dakota Smitherman, Hayden Lawley, Brandon Pickle, Pooh Harris, Timber Lenoir, Nathan Johnson, Beau Norris, Osvaldo Tapia-Sanchez, Stone Gill, Austin Johnson and Dalton Jones.

The team is coached by James “Puddin” Smith and Eric Bailey.

The Maplesville Majors cheerleaders include: Avery Reed, Emma Anderson, Allison Giles, Lexi Calloway, Haven Smith, Chassidy Payne, Trinity Rylee, Reese Brasher, Jayla Nix and Shaveon Dunlap.
