Memorial services for Wallace E. Burns Sr. will be Nov. 23 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Verbena at 2 p.m.

Burns was retired from the United States Air Force as a sheet metal/hydraulic specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Burns and Mary Lou Burns Williams of Oneonta, and his former wife Reecie Nell Burns.

He is survived by his wife, Wylodean; his children, Eddie (Louise) Burns; Mary Jo Grant (Charles), Cynthia Sims (Terry) and the Rev. Donnie Burns (Djuana) Burns; three step-children, Steve Gray (Janice), Joel Gray (Rhonda) and family and Mark Gray (Kim) and family, eight grand-children and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Burns name to the Shriners Burn Center or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
