Thomas “Larry” Gwathney, 70, of Prattville, passed away Nov. 15.

He was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Chilton County, the son of the late Pauline Gwathney.

He was a retired boiler technician chief petty officer.

Suriving are his wife, Gaye Gwathney of Prattville; son, Daryl Chapman of Clanton; daughters, Teri Gwathney of Clanton, Angie Dyches (Randy) of Deatsville; sister, June Mann (Ray) of Clanton; brother, Wayne Gwathney (Liz) of Montgomery; granddaughters, Kristi Littlefield (Wesley) of Pike Road, Erica Davis of Deatsville, Kimber Davis of Deatsville; grandson, Jacob Davis of Maplesville; great-grandson, Thomas Littlefield of Pike Road.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Gwathney.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 19 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Steve Nulph officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

The family requests no flowers but donations be made to the Montgomery Cancer Center: Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, 36106.
