Annie Fern Baker

Annie Fern Baker, 79, of Verbena, passed away on Nov. 12 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born in Chilton County on Feb. 26, 1935, the daughter of the late Ernest Edwards and the late Mary Frances Boyd Edwards.

She was a former Court Specialist Four with the Chilton County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Edwards Baker; grandson, Phillip E. Baker II (Heather); great-grandchildren, Reece Baker, Boyd Baker, Katelyn Kim, and Konnor Kim; sisters, Elaine Billingsley and Helen (I.G.) Lewis; three nephews, one niece, one great-nephew and one great niece.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert E. Baker and parents, Ernest and Mary Frances Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. from Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Bordages officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.

The family requests no flowers; please make memorial contributions to the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2930 County Road 49, Clanton, 35045.
