Lois Baker Hay

Lois Baker Hay, 89, of Clanton, passed away Oct. 14.

She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Marshal M. Baker and the late Birdie Wyatt Baker.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Johnny Mack Hay (Wanda) of Clanton; grandsons, Davy Mack Hay (Amy) of Montgomery, Eric Hay of Clanton; granddaughters, Laura Hay of Charleston, S.C., Sena Hay Player (David) of Charleston, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Helen Hay Payton of Clanton; sister-in-law, Jan Baker of Prattville and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. “Red” Hay; son, the Rev. Wayne Hay; parents, Marshal and Birdie Baker; brother, Carl M. Baker; sister, Francis Bozeman.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Oct. 16 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
