Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Football

Anthony Johnson (Maplesville 2013) contributed his first touchdown of the season as a wide receiver for Jacksonville State University (4-1) on a 34-yard reception from Max Shortell in a 38-14 triumph at home against the University of Tennessee at Martin (1-5) on Oct. 4 in Jacksonville.

In the competition, the sophomore totaled 45 yards on two receptions.

For the season, he totals 104 yards on 11 receptions.

Spencer Watley (Chilton County 2013) is a 5-foot-10, 258-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Riley Tindol (Autauga Academy 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive lineman for Vanderbilt University, which fell to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in Southeastern Conference action after a 44-17 loss at No. 13 University of Georgia (4-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) on Oct. 4 in Athens, Ga.

The freshman is a Billingsley native.

Javae Swindle (Jemison 2012) provided 41 yards on 12 rushing attempts as a starting running back for the University of West Alabama (3-2, 0-1 Gulf South Conference) in a 26-17 loss at the University of West Georgia (5-0, 1-0 Gulf South Conference) on Oct. 4 in Carrollton, Ga.

In the competition, the NCAA Division II All-American second-team performer added 12 yards on one reception.

For the year, he totals 307 yards and two TDs on 47 rushing attempts and 91 yards on four receptions.

Randy Satterfield (Jemison 2014) posted seven yards on one reception as a wide receiver for West Alabama.

For the season, the freshman totals 95 yards on one reception and 90 yards on five punt returns.

Cameron Andrews (Maplesville 2013) is a 5-foot-9, 219-pound linebacker for West Alabama.

Kortin Zeigler (Jemison 2014) is a 6-foot-2, 240-pound tight end for West Alabama.

Raequane Jones (Jemison 2014) collected one solo tackle in his third collegiate appearance as a linebacker for Miles College (2-3, 1-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) in a 23-13 triumph at home against Benedict College (2-3, 0-2 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) on Oct. 2 in Fairfield.

For the year, the freshman tallies three tackles.

Taylor Hughes (Chilton County 2010) opened the season as the starting quarterback for Huntingdon College, which improved to 3-2 after a 51-14 demolishment of Greensboro College (1-3) on Oct. 4 in Montgomery.

Injuries have limited action from the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder.

For the season, he totals 275 yards and two TDs on 18-of-27 pass attempts.

On the ground, he totals 34 yards and one TD.

Overall, the senior has not participated since suffering an injury early in the first quarter of a 29-12 victory at Birmingham-Southern College (1-4) on Sept. 13 in Birmingham.

Damian Mitchell (Maplesville 2014) is a 5-foot-7, 156-pound wide receiver for Birmingham-Southern College, which collected its first win of the season in a 20-9 victory at home against Sewanee: The University of the South (1-4) on Oct. 4.

With the win, the Panthers improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in Big South Conference play.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) clinched the No. 4 performance for University of North Alabama at the Cougar Invitational by tying for 50th with a three-round score of 223 (75-74-74) from Sept. 29-30 in Columbus, Ga.

Aflac presented the 17-team event.

Ivan Truss (Chilton County 2014) produced the No. 5 performance for Samford University at the Graeme McDowell Shoal Creek Invitational by finishing 63rd with a three-round score of 240 (74-83-83) from Sept. 29-30 in Birmingham.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham hosted the 12-team competition.

Rodeo

Billingsley graduate Zachary Wilson and Chilton County High School graduate Nelson Wyatt collected individual victories for West Alabama rodeo program for the second-consecutive competition.

From Oct. 2-5 at the Three Rivers Rodeo, Wilson and Wyatt captured titles in tie downing roping and team roping, respectively.

Wilson added a third-place finish in steer wrestling.

Volleyball

Amber Wyatt (Isabella 2011) is a middle blocker for the University of South Alabama, which improved to 8-8 overall and 3-3 in Sun Belt Conference play after a 3-1 victory at Georgia State University (3-12, 1-5 Sun Belt Conference) on Oct. 4 in Atlanta.

Alandra Griffith (Isabella 2014) recorded five kills and four blocks as a middle hitter for Wallace Community College-Selma (7-8, 2-2 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 3-0 loss at home against Gadsden State Community College (17-10, 5-3 Alabama Community College Conference) on Sept. 30 in Selma.

For the season, the freshman totals 35 kills, nine blocks, one ace and one dig.

Keely Powell (Isabella 2014) compiles appearances in two sets as a defensive specialist for Wallace Community College-Selma.

Ericka Brascome (Isabella 2014) is a right side hitter for Wallace Community College-Selma.
