James Milton Carden, 94, of Clanton, passed away Oct. 7.

He was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Shelby County, the son of the late Jim Carden and the late Ida Lee Atchison Carden.

He was in maintenance for Sears.

Surviving are his sister, Betty Weldon of Birmingham, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from noon-1 p.m. Oct. 9 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

No flowers, but donations may be made to the Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center, P.O. Box 588, Clanton, AL 35046.
