Peggy Joyce Nickolson Hucks, 62, of Clanton, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 4.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1951, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late J.E. Nickolson and June Hayes Nickolson.

She was a retired daycare director.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Hucks; son, Jonathan (Beth) Hucks; daughter, Janice Hucks Robinson; granddaughters, Keegan Robinson and Allysa Hucks; grandson, Dylan Hucks; mother, June Nickolson; brother, Dan Nickolson (Renee); sisters, Betty (Randall) Cofer and Carolyn (Jeff) Nickolson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Oct. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
