Billingsley stepped out of region competition on Friday night to play host to the Prattville Christian Academy Lions, and the Bears picked up their third win of the season, 42-0.

Billingsley scored the only points of the first quarter on a Derrick Dunnigan 3-yard touchdown run to put the hosts up 6-0 late in the first quarter.

The Bears piled on 28 points in the second quarter.

Rashaud Caver start the BHS scoring fest with a 14-yard interception return for a touchdown, and Dalton Davis connected with Jaytarius Steele for a 36-yard touchdown strike to extend the Bears’ lead to 20-0.

The BHS defense accounted for another score on the night as Mason Friday stripped Steven Barnard of the football and took it back 55 yards for a Billingsley touchdown to put the Bears up 26-0.

Dunnigan scored the last points of the half on a 63-yard touchdown run to give Billingsley a 34-0 halftime lead.

The Bears scored the game’s final points with their first drive of the second half when Davis connected with Tommy Williams for a 41-yard touchdown pass.

Davis found Derek Stoudemire for the 2-point conversion to bring the game to its final score.

Davis lead the Bears offense both through the air and on the ground, going 8-of-11 passing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while adding 113 yards rushing on nine carries.

Billingsley visits Isabella for an important region game next week.
