The Chilton County Courthouse and all four town halls in the county will be closed Monday for Labor Day.

The closings will not affect garbage pick-up in Jemison or Maplesville, but Thorsby’s garbage pick-up will run one day behind.

Trash will be picked up for Clanton residents on Monday, but earlier than usual, so residents are encouraged to have their cans out on Sunday night.

City council meetings scheduled for Jemison and Thorsby on Monday have been canceled. Thorsby’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

No information was available at press time about rescheduling of Jemison’s council meeting.

Chilton County schools will also be closed on Monday.
