Bernard Jackson “BJ” Voyles, 55, of Calera, passed away on Aug. 19 at his residence.

He was born in Florida on Oct. 30, 1958, the son of the late Homer Jackson Voyles and the late Katherine Pate Voyles.

He was a press operator with Specification Rubber Plant.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Voyles of Jemison; daughters, Summer Voyles and Kaitlyn Voyles of Jemison; and a brother, Conrad Voyles of Calera.

Visitation will be Aug. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. John Pullen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison.
