Hubert Cummings

Master Sgt. Hubert Cummings USAF (Ret.), 74, entered into rest on July 1.

Cummings was born on Feb. 1, 1940, in Isabella.

He proudly served his country for 21 years, in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant.

He worked at Robins Air Force Base in the military personnel office where he retired after 20 years.

He attended Mulberry Baptist Church in Isabella.

In his free time, he enjoyed playing and coaching basketball and baseball.

His parents, William Joseph Cummings and Fannie Lee LeCroy Cummings, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Jane Cummings of Kathleen, Ga.; sons, Keith Cummings (Duna) of Atlanta, Ga., and Darin Cummings (Cherry) of Fort Valley, Ga.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and brother, Dr. Richard Cummings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 11 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

A second service will be held on July 12 at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church in Isabella with interment following in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society at 804 Cherry Street Suite A, Macon, Ga., 31201.
