This was Crumpton’s first time competing for the title of Little Miss Peach.

“She has had so much fun getting ready and she loved the dance party they had for the contestants,” Tonja Crumpton said. “She was the last one to leave the dance floor.”

Crumpton clutched a bouquet of light pink flowers handed to her shortly after receiving the crown.

“I don’t think she wants to let the flowers go,” Tonja Crumpton said. “She is holding those with a tight grip.”

Contestants in Little Miss Peach modeled casual wear as well as dresses and 2013 Little Miss Peach Emma Owens took her final walk before the queen and her court were announced.

An audio recording of Owens recalling her year as Little Miss Peach played as she circled the stage before crowning the 2014 Little Miss Peach.

“To the new Little Miss Peach, hold on to your crown,” Owens said. “This is about to be the best time of your life.”

Crumpton’s court included first alternate Lexie Deavers, second alternate Caroline Watson, third alternate Braelynn Brooks and fourth alternate Alley Claire Popwell.

The next pageant will be held June 23 at 6:30 p.m. when contestants compete for the title of Young Miss Peach.
