Calvary Independent Baptist Church

We want to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and everyone who is making Vacation Bible School a success. Our theme is “Cross Canyon Trail” and is focused upon “Riding Strong with Jesus.” It is indeed a great blessing to see parents and children alike excited about such an awesome opportunity to serve God.

This Friday will be the last evening, and if you have not had an opportunity to come out and be a part of it, you have missed a real blessing. In a time when most would rather serve the lusts of this world and the pride of life, it is getting to be a rare thing to experience the coming together of a group of people who are willing to take up their cross and follow Christ. We hope that you are riding strong with Jesus and are faithfully serving him. We would like to invite you to come and visit with us this Sunday at Calvary.

Mountain Springs Church

Services started with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “I Want to Know More About My Lord,” “I’d Rather Be an Old-Time Christian,” “Living By Faith” and “I Never Shall Forget the Day.”

Bro. Ashley Bice gave a devotion from Exodus 23:1-2. Just because everyone else may be doing something doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. If we put God in the center of our lives, we will make good choices.

After Sunday school, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymns “Glory to His Name” and Kellie Bice sang “He’ll Make A Way.”

Bro. Heath preached from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-7. God’s house doesn’t need to be a place of tearing down one another, but of lifting each other up and encouraging one another.

Sunday night’s service began with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “I’ll Be Listening,” “Jesus is Coming Soon” and “Where the Milk and Honey Flows.”

Bro. Kenneth gave a devotion from Psalms 37:25-26. If we continue to live righteously, we will be exempt from a permanent state of abandonment.

Bro. Heath preached from James 1:12-16. We are living in a time where our faith is being tested every day. Trials and temptation will come, but as long as we have God, we will have enough.
