Mountain Springs Church

Services started with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Jesus is Coming Soon,” “Feel My Way Every Day with Love,” “I Would Not Be Denied” and “I Want to Be Ready.”

Bro. Ashley Bice gave a devotion from Romans 13:1-3. Whatever situation you face in life, God will be there with you. He is aware of everything we go through in life.

Bro. Heath preached from Matthew 15:21-28. What are you going to do when you don’t feel God’s presence in your life? Whatever you do, do not quit; continue on what God has called you to do. When we cling to God and never give up, we will portray courage.

Sunday night’s service started with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “There’s Power in the Blood,” “Where the Milk and Honey Flows” and “Just a Little Talk with Jesus.”

Bro. Kenneth gave a devotion from Titus 2:11-14. God sacrificed himself so that we can be redeemed. When the devil comes trying to mess up our lives, just remember that as long as you are a Christian, he is on private property.

Bro. Heath preached from Philippians 4:6. If you are not careful, worry can consume your life. You will find help in the Word of God to overcome worry.

Our Vacation Bible School will be June 2-6 at 6:30 p.m. each night. We encourage you to attend and bring your kids! It will be a great and fun time in the Lord.

Samaria Baptist Church

Our prayer needs today are Betty McCary, Harper Coker, Paul Shearon, Tracy Mims, Salena Stoneback, and the Donald Mims family.

Diane Fisher sang “All is Well” for special music today.

We must learn to find joy in the midst of turmoil. The only way we can do this is through our Lord Jesus Christ. What an amazing day to worship in the house of God.

Hebrews 3 is our beginning text today. When we hold on to the promises that God made to us in his Word, we have the blessed assurance that he means what he said. God promises us a place of blessing within God’s favor. When we build on the rock of God, we are on a foundation that will never perish. We are in a place where we may abide in peace, even in the midst of all kinds of storms. Ultimately, we are promised complete victory in Jesus. There is nothing that can separate us from him.

Job suffered immense misery. However, because he never wavered in his faith in God’s promise, he was delivered. Jesus is the vine; we are the branches, and if we remain in him, we will produce fruit for the cause of Christ. Apart from him, we have no assurance of victory. Now, it is possible to allow the world to draw us away. The children of Israel were drawn away by their impatience and whining. They did not get to experience the Promised Land.

Let us consider his blessings and not focus on the things we do not have. We all have multiple blessings from God, and we benefit when we stay faithful and do not waver. Christ is waiting on you to let him show us the victory. We are overcomers when we extend our faith. By faith we can overcome the world.

God bless all who read this. Join us at Samaria for a Holy Spirit blessing.

We are so blessed to have Bro. Shane, Stacy, Lauren and Carly join us as our new pastor family. God is good.
