Doris Geraldine Gilmore Martin Bice, 82, of the Mineral Springs Community in Jemison, passed away May 1 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on July 5, 1931, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Graham Gilmore and the late Pearlie Hilyer Gilmore.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was also a faithful member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Oneal Bice of Jemison; daughter, Debbie Stults (Jim) of Akron, Ohio; son, Doyle Martin (Lisa) of Clanton; step-daughter, Kelli Bice of Birmingham; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Danny Gilmore (Frances) of Jemison; brother, Jimmy Gilmore (Belinda) of Gardendale; brother, Billy Gilmore (Shirley) of Oregon; brother, David Gilmore (Diane) of Atlanta; sister, Margaret Wyatt (Charles) of Thorsby; sister, Judy Houston (Wayne) of Birmingham; and sister, Donna Sharpe of Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by first husband, Doyle Martin Sr.; daughter, Kay Meeks; parents, Graham and Pearlie Gilmore and brother, Carl Gilmore.

Visitation will be held May 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held May 5 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
