Barbara Ann Thompson, 56, of Clanton, passed away on May 4 at the Nolan Hospital at Shelby in Alabaster.

She was born in Chilton County on March 20, 1958, the daughter of Doyle Robinson and the late Delene Edwards Robinson.

She was a lunchroom worker at Clanton Elementary School.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Thompson of Clanton; daughter, Jamie Davis (Buddy) of Clanton; daughter, Leslie Thompson of Clanton; grandchildren, Kyle and Sarah Davis, Jalen Thompson and Isabella Wyatt; father, Doyle Robinson of Clanton; brother, Alan Robinson (Eva) of Jemison and brother, Michael Robinson (Tammy) of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Delene Robinson.

Funeral services will be held May 5 at 3 p.m. from the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Scott and the Rev. Don Graham officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow the service in Mt. Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made toward the funeral expenses.
