William Lee Turner

William Lee Turner, 79, of Jemison, passed away April 26.

He served as a paratrooper in the 121st Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He attended Provide Baptist Church in Montevallo.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and watching Fox news and Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Pearl Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Yarber Turner; daughters, Susan Elaine Turner of Jemison, Sarah Ann Page of Montevallo and Autumn Lee Turner of Jemison; grandchildren, William Nicholas Page, Tristan Joseph Page and Kayla Jade Page and son-in-law, Bradley Page.

Special thanks to New Beacon Hospice, Providence Baptist Church and personal friends for all of their support during this difficult time.

A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. May 2 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the Turner Family Fund at Providence Baptist Church.

Services are under the direction of Rockco Funeral Home of Montevallo.
