Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Baseball

Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) contributed four strikeouts and allowed five earned runs in a 5 1/3-inning effort as the starting pitcher for Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (19-18, 9-12 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 14-4 loss at home against Jefferson Davis Community College (18-17, 4-10 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 12 in Andalusia.

For the season, the sophomore totaled 11 appearances and eight starts to compile a 3-3 record, two complete games, 50 innings pitched, 32 strikeouts and a 2.88 ERA.

Alex Campbell (Jemison 2013) provided two strikeouts and allowed six earned runs in a five-inning effort as the starting pitcher for Wallace Community College at Selma (14-26, 4-11 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 12-1 loss at home against Southern Union State Community College (25-17, 10-7 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 10 in Wallace.

For the season, the freshman has competed in 27 games at various positions to provide seven RBI, two walks and a .205 batting average.

As a pitcher, he tallies 12 appearances and seven starts to contribute a 1-3 record, two complete games, 57 2/3 innings pitched, 23 strikeouts and a 4.37 ERA.

Craig Headley (Chilton County 2013) batted 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI for Jefferson Davis Community College (18-17, 14-10 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 12-4 victory in Game 1 of a three-game series at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (19-18, 9-12 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 10 in Andalusia.

In Game 2, he finished 1-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI in a 14-4 triumph.

For the season, the catcher totals 29 appearances and 18 starts to contribute 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, 15 walks, five doubles, one stolen base and a .315 batting average.

Cameron Cummings (Chilton County 2013) batted 1-for-3 with one run scored and one walk for the University of South Alabama (16-19, 6-8 Sun Belt Conference) in a 3-2 loss at home against Arkansas State University (20-16, 10-5 Sun Belt Conference) on April 13 in Mobile.

For the season, the infielder totals 27 appearances and 20 starts to provide 11 walks, 10 runs scored, eight RBI, two stolen bases, one double and a .275 batting average.

Bo Hoffman (Thorsby 2013) compiles five appearances and two starts as a pitcher for Marion Military (7-26, 1-13 Alabama Community College Conference) to contribute a 1-1 record, 8 1/3 innings pitched, eight strikeouts and an 11.88 ERA.

Stephen Mims (Thorsby 2013) adds three appearances and one start as a pitcher for Wallace Community College at Selma to produce a 0-1 record, 7 1/3 innings pitched, three strikeouts and a 1.23 ERA.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) will represent the University of North Alabama at the Gulf South Conference Tournament from April 21-22 in Tunica, Miss.

In his most recent competition, the freshman collected a tie for 45th at the Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. with a score of 224 (72-77-75).

Rodeo

Andy Phillips (Maplesville 2011) captured third in the saddle bronc riding at the University of Tennessee Martin Rodeo with a score of 140 for University of West Alabama from April 9-11 in Martin, Tenn.

Nelson Wyatt (Chilton County 2011) collected third in the steer wrestling at the University of Tennessee Martin Rodeo with a score of 60 for Troy University.

Softball

Brianna Cleckler (Chilton County 2013) contributed six strikeouts and did not allow an earned run en route to collecting her 16th win of the season in a complete-game effort as a pitcher for Southern Union State Community College (38-8, 6-0 Alabama Community College Conference) in an 8-0 triumph at home against Enterprise State Community College (9-11, 2-4 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 9 in Wadley.

For the season, the freshman tallies 24 appearances and 21 starts to contribute a 16-4 record, 14 complete games, 117 innings pitched, 81 strikeouts and a 2.03 ERA.

Tiffany Guin (Jemison 2012) allowed one hit and did not allow an earned run in a one-inning effort as a relief pitcher for Central Alabama Community College (33-14, 6-2 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 12-2 victory at Wallace Community College at Dothan (17-17, 1-5 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 12 in Dothan.

For the season, the sophomore compiles 25 appearances and 14 starts to provide a 13-6 record, two saves, six complete games, 87 2/3 innings pitched, 50 strikeouts and a 4.23 ERA.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 3-for-4 with one run scored for Central Alabama Community College (33-14, 6-2 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 12-2 triumph at Wallace Community College at Dothan (17-17, 1-5 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 12 in Dothan.

For the season, the infielder compiles 47 appearances to provide 30 runs scored, 19 RBI, nine stolen bases, eight doubles, one triple, one home run and a .291 batting average.

Lauren Stewart (Chilton County 2012) batted 2-for-3 with one RBI for Southern Union State Community College (38-8, 6-0 Alabama Community College Conference) in an 8-0 sweep of Enterprise State Community College (9-11, 2-4 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 9 in Wadley.

For the season, the catcher totals 27 appearances to provide 11 RBI, 10 runs scored, eight walks, four doubles and a .385 batting average.

Women’s outdoor track and field

Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) collected a season-best of 116 feet, 2.5 inches in the javelin at the Florida State University Seminole Invitational en route to claiming fifth in the event on April 12 in Tallahassee, Fla.
