Margaret S. Beckers, 86, of Clanton, passed away on April 3.

She was born on May 28, 1927, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Acie Sims and the late Katherine Bell Sims.

She was a typesetter.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Baker (Ronnie) of Clanton; granddaughters, Daphne Wingard (Bruce) of Wetumpka, Michelle Perdue (Phil) of Clanton, Donna Henderson of Tallassee, Dana White (Mike) of Blakely, Ga.; grandson, Matthew Jones (Melissa) of Clanton; sister, Louise Williams of Enterprise; brothers, Clyde Sims of Clanton, Curtis Sims of Clanton; five great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons and one-great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Acie and Katherine Sims; husband, Amos Jones and second husband, James Beckers.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. April 5 at Providence No. 2 Baptist Church.

Services will be held April 5 at 2 p.m. at Providence No. 2 Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Bowman and the Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating.

Interment will follow in Providence No. 2 Baptist Cemetery.
