Morgan C. “Rip” Collins, 95, of Clanton, passed away March 27 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born on July 2, 1918, in Mississippi, the son of the late Sam Collins and the late Rosa Cooley Collins.

He was an insurance salesman.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Debbie Franklin (Randall) of Billingsley, Stephanie Easterling Moats of Thorsby, Ashley Francisco Holt of Clanton, Danielle Plyler of Clanton; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Agnes Ellison of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Collins; daughter, Phyllis Easterling and daughter, Jane Plyler.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. March 28 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Clanton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Dovey officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
