Joyce Strength Minor, 63, of Clanton, passed away on March 26.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1951, in Mt. Creek, the daughter of the late John Strength Sr. and the late Sarah E. Howell Strength.

She was a social worker.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donnie Minor of Clanton; son, Samuel J. Minor of Clanton; daughter, Katie C. Nelson of Gardendale; two granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sonja Harris of Indiana; sister, Susan Edwards of Ft. Walton, Fla.; sister, Beth Smith of Arkansas and brother, David Strength of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. Strength Sr. and Sarah Strength and brother, John H. Strength Jr.

Visitation will be held on March 28 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held March 29 at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Harris officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
