A funeral service for James E. Gray, 86, of Jackson’s Gap will be held March 22 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Dadeville with the Rev. Reginald Gabel officiating.

A graveside service will follow in Tallapoosa Co. Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 21 at Alabama Funeral Homes in Dadeville.

Gray was born on Sept. 26, 1927, in Chilton County, and passed away at his home on March 20.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dadeville and was retired from Dan River Mills in Dadeville.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gaynelle Harris Tucker Gray; two sons, Gene Tucker (Lanelle) of Jackson’s Gap and Ronnie Tucker of Tallassee; three brothers, Bill Gray (Connie), Charles Gray (Judy) of Calera and Durwood Gray (Corine) of Verbena; five grandchildren, Allan Tucker (Brandy), Tonya Dawson, Lynn Back (Josh), Tommy Tucker (Brandi) and James Tucker (Jennifer); nine-great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kendell, Trevor, Kori, Carson, Blaine, Tori, Jake and Lydia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gray; mother, Anges Davis Gray; daughter, Earlinda Cruz and sister, Melba Meank.

Alabama Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers in Dadeville are handling the arrangements.
