Maplesville Police Department reports for the week of March 10, 2014

The following is an activity report of the Maplesville Police Department from Jan. 17-Feb. 19:

Jan. 17
•A report was made for menacing after a shotgun was pulled on the victim: Mobile St.
•Illegal possession of prescription medication: U.S. Highway 82 (arrest)

Jan. 18
•Truck struck a deer, causing front end damage: U.S. Highway 82 and County Road 323

Jan 19
•A report was made for a traffic stop in which the driver of the vehicle was accusing the officer of falsely stopping her and was video recording the officer: The Barking Frog, Alabama Highway 22
•Burglary: Taylor Made Lumber (arrest)

Jan. 21
•After a traffic stop, an arrest was made for failure to appear warrants with Maplesville for possession of marijuana; the stop was made by Montevallo police. A Maplesville officer picked up the suspect and transported him to the Chilton County Jail.

Jan. 22
•Female committed to the Brookwood mental ward for evaluation: County Road 10

Jan. 24
•Gas drive-off: Chevron, U.S. Highway 82

Jan. 28
•Vehicle accident during the snow storm: single vehicle hit ice, slid off of the road and flipped, slight injuries: U.S. Highway 82

Jan. 30
•Domestic violence: 700 Block of Alabama Highway 139

Feb. 2
•Arrest for violation of parole, an SKS (7.62x39mm) semi-automatic rifle was also recovered: Alabama Highway 22 and County Road 45

Feb. 4
•Employee stealing prescription painkillers: Maplesville Pharmacy

Feb. 6
•Toyota Camry struck a deer, causing damage to the front end and windshield: Alabama Highway 22 and County Road 327
•Theft of property (16-foot utility trailer): County Road 323 area
•Harassment after a dog attacked a man, and then the man cursed and threatened the victim: Highway 82 Trailer Park

Feb. 7
•A report was made for a dangerous animal allowed to run at large after a pit bull charged the victim, who was trying to defend herself and fell off her front porch. The dog was captured and taken to the humane society; the owner of the dog was cited: 700 Block of Alabama Highway 139

Feb. 9
•An arrest was made by the Millbrook Police Dept. for failure to appear on possession of marijuana. The suspect was picked up by a Maplesville officer and taken to the Chilton County Jail.
•A report was made from a truck driver at the Chevron that his fuel tank had been tampered with and fuel stolen whilst he slept.

Feb. 11
•An arrest was made for disorderly conduct after an officer was dispatched to the location for a domestic incident: 700 Block of Alabama Highway 139
