Mountain Springs Church

Services started with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Send the Light,” “Jesus is Coming Soon,” “He Set Me Free” and “This World Is Not My Home.”

Bro. Roger Cleckler gave a devotion from Matthew 9:36-39: The Lord is looking for us to go out and be witnesses for him. There is always something we can do for the Lord.

After Sunday school, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymns “Victory in Jesus” and “I Want to Be Ready to Meet Him.” Sam Ross sang “We Need to Thank God” and Juliyanne Rutherford sang “Temporary Home.”

Bro. Don preached from Genesis 4:9-16: Just like God sent Cain away from his presence, sin will send us away from God. When God puts his mark of righteousness on us and the devil can’t do anything to us.

Sunday night’s service began with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “Oh I Want to See Him,” “Come Unto Me,” “I Would Not Be Denied” and “Send the Light.”

Bro. Kenneth gave the devotion. People today are too busy to have time to talk to God. We need to take time out of our busy schedules to spend some quality time with God.

Bro. Don preached from Zechariah 4:6. It is though the power of God that all things are accomplished. We can pray and go to church, but unless the power of God is there, what good is it?

Bethsalem Baptist Church

Our day of worship was a beautiful day and a good spiritual day of worship. Bro. Cleve lead our congregation in responsive reading of scripture. Our Celebration Choir’s special was “Be Unto Your Name.”

Bro. Bobby preached from John 12:12-15 and John 18: 33-37. His message was titled “Jesus Our Lord.” Bill Billingsley preached our sermon on Sunday night.
