Keep your eyes on God!

Pastor Bro. Jeff Carroll’s text came from Genesis 1: 1-30 and was “God’s Creation Versus Man’s Creation.”

Day 1: Let there be light.

Day 2: Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God called the firmament heaven.

Day 3: Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together, into one place and let the dry land appear. God called the dry land earth, and the earth brought fourth grass that brings forth seed of its kind and the tree yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. The gathering together of the waters he called the seas.

Day 4: God made the sun, moon and stars.

Day 5: God made birds to fill the air and fish to fill the waters.

Day 6: God said let earth bring forth living creatures of its kind, cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to its kind. Then God said let us make man in our image, according to our likeness to have dominion over all the seas, the animals and every creeping thing. So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him male and female. God then blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.”

God made male and female; he did not say he made male and male or female and female, for whom it is impossible to procreate. There is no biblical justification for homosexuality. God’s creation does not have anything to do with man’s creation.

Find out what God’s plan is for you. Let God control your life and peace will come. Love to all and have a blessed week.

Calvary Independent Baptist Church

We want to thank everyone who attended services this weekend. We are especially thankful for the visitors we had and invite them back to be a part of any of our services.

Sunday morning services included a message from John 13:1-20 titled “Pictures Impressed Upon Us in the Word of God.”

In John 13 we see a picture of God’s love for the nation of Israel, a picture of his lasting purpose in them being a light of the world. In John 13 we also find a picture of servanthood and a picture of sacrifice as he looked forward knowing he was to die upon that cross. Have you fully pictured in your mind the love that Christ had for us, in that while we were yet sinners, he came and died for us and paid the ransom for sin that we might go free?

Sunday night’s service included a message from Leviticus 26 and Isaiah 40 titled “The Good Things God Has to Offer.” From the word of God we can know that we are to have a sanctuary that is to be reverenced. It is a place set apart for God’s purpose. It should be a resting place with real promise, reliable provision and a place that keeps us on the right path.

We hope you have a place that you can go that helps you to draw nearer unto God in your walk as a member of the body of Christ. If you are looking for a place to go and fellowship in Christian love centered on the teaching and preaching of the word of God, come visit with us this Sunday.
