Thorsby’s Town Council on Monday was presented revised bylaws for the town’s Parks and Recreation organization.

Town Clerk Crystal Smith gave each of the council members copies of the current bylaws and the revised bylaws.

Council members said they would look over the information and discuss the matter at the next regular meeting, scheduled for March 17 at Thorsby Annex.

One measure that could be added to the bylaws is a rule prohibiting practicing youth baseball or softball on Sundays on town property.

Councilman Marvin Crumpton expressed concern after noticing such organized practices recently.

Either banning Sunday practices or limiting them to times when churches would not be in service were two options discussed.

Councilman Glenn Littleton raised two issues during the meeting, mentioning a collapsed roof on a building off Montana Avenue and asking if Public Works Department employees could take down signs being put up illegally around town.
