Theron A. Hinkle, 89, of Clanton, passed away March 5.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1924, in Alabama, the son of the late Robert G. Hinkle and the late Ida Pearl Quattlebaum Hinkle.

He was an aviation instrument tech.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette D. Hinkle of Clanton; daughter, Janice Ann Powell (Randall) of Clanton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Faye Mims.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. March 6 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held March 6 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Glen Bonds and the Rev. Evie Meggison officiating.

Interment will follow in Providence No. 2 Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
