Both teams then went scoreless until the bottom half of the fourth inning, when Owens reached base on a Bulldogs error, later to be driven in on a Posey single.

Posey scored on a Cook double, and the Rebels led 2-1 after four innings of play.

Holtville plated one more in the top half of the fifth when Ryan Carney scored Dalton Speigner with a double to right field to knot the game at 2-all.

With one out and one one, Owens sent a shot over the left-center field wall, his fourth home run in as many games, to give the Rebels a two-run lead.

Cody Scott also scored for the Rebels in the bottom half of the inning to make the Thorsby lead three runs after five innings of play.

Holtville managed to move a runner into scoring position in the top of the seventh, but two strike outs in the inning brought the game to its end.

Blake Bradberry got the start for the Rebels on the mound and pitched 3 2/3 innings while giving up one run on three hits and five walks while striking out five.
