Rebels blast two grand slams in win over Prattville Christian

The Thorsby baseball team’s hot bats propelled the Rebels to a 15-6 win over Prattville Christian Academy on Tuesday.

THS got started early, scoring six runs in the first inning–four on a grand slam by Tyler Owens and the other two on a single by Jagger Cook.

The Rebels put up two more runs in the second inning, as Matt Morgan and Chris Brown both scored after being hit by a pitch. Conner McRae drove in one of the runs.

Owens drove in Brown in the fourth inning, and then Brown smacked a grand slam in the fifth inning, to be followed by a home run off the bat of Morgan.

Brown scored four runs, and Owens drove in five runs.

McRae started the game on the mound and pitched three innings, allowing three hits and striking out three.

Donnie Hoffman struck out one in one inning pitched, Bailey Sellers pitched two innings and Cody Scott struck out two batters in one inning of work.
