Gerald Dean Carter, 90, of Thorsby, passed away Feb. 16.

He was born on April 1, 1923, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of the late Ira Carter and the late Oleva Brackley Carter.

He was a metal worker.

Surviving are his wife, Frankie T. Carter of Thorsby; son, Tom Carter (Donna) of Thorsby; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe T. Carter and Ronnie Carter both of Kansas City, Mo., daughter-in-law, Fredericka Carter of Mobile.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Henry Carter.

Friends will be received from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at Thorsby First Baptist Church.

Services will be held Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Thorsby First Baptist Church with the Rev. Marc Hodges and the Rev. Harold Newberry officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
