Ivan Nelson Marler, 88, of Jemison, passed away Feb. 11.

He was born on Jan. 26, 1926, in Chilton County, the son of the late Emmett E. Marler and the late Della Glasscock Marler.

He was an aircraft sheet metalist.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Wayne Marler (Barbara) of Bessemer; Kenneth Nelson Marler (Geri) of West Pelzer, S.C.; daughters, Cathy L. Grill (Randy) of Maylene, Betty Elaine Thibault (Tom) of Clanton, Paula J. Mauldin (Kenneth) of Jemison; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Day Marler.

Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Feb. 15 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memory Gardens in Thorsby.
