Bennie F. Davis, 71, of Guin, passed away Feb. 7 at his residence.

Born in Clanton, he is the son of the late Rev. Victor and Nellie Bea Bullard Davis and the husband of Mary Ann Watkins Davis.

He had lived in Winfield and Guin most of his life, was a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Davis of Guin, five daughters, Vanessa Jones (David) and Valinda Pate (Heath) all of Randolph, Florence Akers (David) of Guin, Joyce Heames (Tim) of Morgantown, W. Va. and Lynne Webb (Marlon) of Guin; son, Michael Davis of Winfield; sister, Sarah Nell Fine of Clanton; brother, Larry Davis (Darlene) of Thorsby; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Graves and a son, Johnny Cantrell.

Services will be held Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Guin.
