Stacy Lynn Knight, 40, of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 3 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

She was born in Chilton County on Nov. 4, 1973, the daughter of Donald Knight and Betty Joyce Smitherman Knight.

She was a seamstress.

She is survived by her daughter, Summer Knight of Verbena; son, Peyton Chancellor of Jemison; parents, Doc and Betty Joyce Knight of Verbena; sister, Brandy Knight of Clanton; brother, Jesse Knight of Verbena; nieces, Kaitlin Knight, Alexus Knight, Shelby Knight and Haley Knight; nephews, Shawn and Matthew Knight; aunts, Gail Ray, Elaine Johnson, Tinker Durham (Jerry) and Cindy Smitherman and an uncle, Wayne Smitherman.

She is preceded in death by her son, Brent Chancellor; grandparents, W.E. and Hattie Knight; grandparents, Otis and Shirley Smitherman and uncle, Gabby Knight.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
