Will “Jim” Latham Jr., 87, of Maplesville, passed away Jan. 30 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on April 21, 1926, in Chilton County, the son of the late Will Latham Sr. and the late Lena Atcheson Latham.

He was a security guard with Gulf State Paper Company.

He is survived by his sons, Aubrey Latham (Patricia) and Steven Latham; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly C. Latham.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Robert Atcheson Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville.

The family requests no flowers but contributions be made to the Maplesville Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 9, Maplesville, AL 36750.
