Elizabeth Christine Moates, 92, of Clanton, passed away Jan. 21.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1921, in Coosa County, the daughter of the late Joel Martin Wright and the late Icie Bell Meherg Wright.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Annie Sue Jones of Clanton and Judy Popwell (Jerry) of Clanton; sons, Kenneth Moates (Phyllis) of Clanton, Donnie Moates (Sherri) and Ronnie Moates (Patsy) of Clanton; sisters, Connie Vines of Clanton, Virginia Rich (Dee) of Clanton; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Moates.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 22 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. at Mount Springs Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Vanderslice officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
