Nov. 10: Disciple Now event for students on Sunday and Monday

Come and worship with us on Sundays.

Mountain Springs Church

Services started with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “I Want to Know More About My Lord,” “I Never Shall Forget the Day,” “Living By Faith” and “Heaven’s Jubilee.”

Bro. Roger Cleckler gave a devotion from Luke 10: 37: On our everyday journey with life, we need to do what we can to help others.

After Sunday school, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymn “It’s Different Now” and Wayne Barnett sang “When Jesus Passed By.”

Bro. Don preached from Isaiah 55: 8-9: We need to pray during our tragedies and circumstances, but ask God for his will, not our own. Sometimes we just need to pray, “God, you’re will be done,” because he knows what’s best for us.

Sunday night’s service began with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “Jesus Is Coming Soon,” “Fill My Way with Love,” and “Anywhere is Home.”

Bro. Kenneth gave a devotion from Isaiah 58:13 and 59: 1-2: God is just as sensitive to our prayers as he was to the prophets of the Bible; we just have to trust him.

Charles Edmondson was with us tonight and he blessed the church with two songs. We were pleased to have him come and sing for us. We hope he comes back really soon.

Bro. Don preached from 1 Corinthians 11: 31: We can’t use our hearts to discern right from wrong, but we can use the Bible. We should be afraid of the chastisement of God, and pray that when we sin, we will know how to correct our sin.

Don’t forget our services are Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
