Dorothy Mae Nelson, 88, of Thorsby, passed away on Oct. 27 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1925, in Georgia, daughter of the late Charles Bossinger and the late Estelle Hasbrook Bossinger.

She was a cosmetologist.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Hogg (Milan) of Thorsby; Anita E. Brown (Mike) of Jemison; sister, Melanie McMahan of Birmingham, grandsons, Frank Brown (Cheryl) of Thorsby, Joel Brown (Jennifer) of Thorsby; granddaughter, Andrea Gilliam (James) of Jemison; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter, one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eugene Nelson.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Oct. 29 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
