Jolene Mims Cleckler

Jolene Mims Cleckler, 82, of Verbena, passed away on Oct. 12 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1930, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Rollis Mims and the late Perlie Mims.

She was a garment finisher.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Cleckler (Shelly) of Tuscaloosa, Jackie Cleckler (Tammy) of Clanton; daughter, Melinda Melton (Jeff) of Clanton; granddaughters, Brandy Carter (James) of Clanton, Dana Bone (Derrick) of Clanton; grandsons, Kevin (Candi) Cleckler of Verbena, Jeremy Melton of Clanton; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Hunter and Jackson Carter, Belle, Ella and Emma Cleckler, Addison and Ally Bone; sisters, Kathlean Reisner of Clanton, Gearldean (F.E.) Harris of Clanton; special friend, Floyd Moates of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milfred Cleckler, brother, Billie Mims and daughter, Glenda Sue Cleckler.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 13 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Church of God with the Rev. Randall Beagles officiating.

Interment followed in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Clanton.
