Rena Duren Marcus, 85, of Clanton, passed away on Oct. 8 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Jan. 13, 1928, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Edgar Duren and the late Fannie Mae Scott.

She was a certified nursing assistant.

Surviving are her sons, Rex (Teresa) Marcus of Clanton, Larry (Shirley) McLain of Jemison; sister, Faye Ramey of Mableton, Ga.; brother, J.T. Duren of Mableton, Ga.; grandsons, Anthony (Bridget) Marcus of Clanton, Adam Marcus of Clanton; granddaughters, Adrienne McLain Griffin of Alabaster, Ariel McLain of Clanton; great-grandsons, Will Marcus of Clanton Dylan Marcus of Clanton, Cayden Young of Clanton, Caleb Griffin of Alabaster; great-granddaughter, Lexi Smitherman of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Duncan Marcus.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Adam Jack Marcus officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
