Lewis Carlton Smith

Lewis Carlton Smith, 83, of Jemison, passed away on Sept. 18 at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on July 19, 1930, the son of the late George W. Smith and the late Macie Frith Smith.

He was a retired agent from CSX Railroad.

He also honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Smith of Jemison and son, Chris Smith of Jemison.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sept. 20 at 11:30 a.m. in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Jemison with the Rev. William Earl Short officiating.
