Nellie Ellen Heptinstall of Jemison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 9 after a lengthy stay in the hospital.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John W. Heptinstall; son, Rocky W. Heptinstall and grandson, Chance Jones.

She is survived by four sons, John Heptinstall (Brenda), Tony Heptinstall (Mary), Bill Jr. Heptinstall (Fran) and Stephen Heptinstall (Tina); daughters-in-law, Yvonne Heptinstall and Jackie Johnson; 23 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brother, Frankie Buford (Lera).

She was a very loving, giving, kind and godly woman.

There will be a visitation at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo on Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m.

Heptinstall will lie in state on Sept. 13 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church from 10-11 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m.

Service to be officiated by Bro. Phillip Guin.

Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery.
