Thomas Keith Meherg

Thomas Keith Meherg, 50, of Pueblo West, Colo. and formerly of Verbena, passed away on Sept. 1 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colo.

He was born in Montgomery on Sept. 29, 1962, the son of the late Theodore Wilson Meherg and the late Joyce Marie Kennedy Meherg.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Martin of Verbena; daughter, Whitney Meherg (David Goodwin) of Marbury; son, Sidney Crowson of Montevallo; son, Hunter Meherg of Marbury; step-daughter, Summer Bates (Eric) of Verbena; four grandchildren; brother, Gene Meherg of Verbena; sister, Brenda Smedley (David) of Selma; sister, Patricia Cumbie of Marbury; sister, Tammy Messer (Jud) of Verbena; sisters, Michelle Russell, Melinda Long and Melody Long all of Texas and a sister, Betty Jean Davis of Demopolis.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Meherg; parents, Theodore and Joyce Meherg and a brother, Wayne Meherg.

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
