Leora Gilbert Lawrence, 90, of Clanton died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home in Alabaster.

She was born on Sunday, June 24, 1923, in Chilton County, daughter of the late James Floyd Patterson and the late Leona Burnette Patterson.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Edna (Allen) Pate of Hoover, Ellen Traywick of Thorsby; son, Don (Carolyn) Gilbert of Jemison; granddaughter, Becky Garrison of Thorsby; grandsons, Stacey Gilbert of Rockford, Russell Pate of Hoover, Bryan Pate of Hoover, John Gilbert of Thorsby, Rhett Traywick of Hoover, Jonas Traywick of Thorsby; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Chandler, Bobbie Ann Littleton, Janice Crumpton; and brothers, Harold Patterson, John Patterson, Wendell Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Edwin Gilbert; second husband, J.P. Lawrence; and son, Joe Gilbert.

Friends will be received from 5–8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Hurd and the Rev. Matt Debord officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
