Faye Hayes Burnette, 74, of Thorsby, passed away on Aug. 29 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was a business owner.

Surviving are her husband, John W. Burnette; son, Darryl Burnette (Lesley); daughters, Melody Jones (Mike) and Jennifer Farrell (Tripp); grandsons, Hayes Farrell, Luke Farrell, Bailey Jones and Wen Burnette; granddaughter, Kate Burnette; brothers, Danny Hayes and the Rev. Buddy Hayes.

Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m. on Aug. 31 at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Services will be held on Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. at Pates Chapel with the Rev. Gary Jones and the Rev. Randal Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.

Family requests no flowers. Please send donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation in honor of her granddaughter, Kate Burnette.
