Bobbie Jean Hatley

Bobbie Jean Hatley, 80, of Clanton, passed away on Aug. 16 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton.

She was born in Louisiana on Nov. 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert Bence and the late Lorene Gooden Bence.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her nieces, Teddie Parker, Pam Kelley, Agatha Kilpatrick, Robbie Waid, Claudia Freeman, Annette McCay and Babette Bence; nephews, Terrell Bence, Robert Reaves, Jr., Tony Bence, Turk Bence and Cobe Bence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Hatley; parents, Albert and Lorene Bence; brothers, Harlen Bence, Auburn Bence, Hoyt Bence and Charles Bence; sisters, Katheryn Reaves and Betty Gray.

Funeral services were held on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Burial followed at a later time in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
