Jewel Lovette Avery

Jewel Lovette Avery, a life-long resident of Chilton County, passed away on July 20, 2013, in Alabaster.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Avery; her father and mother, Jim and Sara Lovette and her six siblings.

She is survived by her four children, Richard Avery (Paula); Gwen Price (Wayne); Kathy Watkins (Danny) and Joy Rollins; four grandchildren, Stefanie Thompson (Scott), Heather Brantley (Destry); Ashley Chapman (Jason) and Avery Rollins; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Cobb and Fletcher Brantley.

The children wish to express to The Gardens of Clanton Assisted Living their heartfelt gratitude for the love and care that was extended to their mother during her residence there.

These ladies have become our extended family and words cannot express our love for them.

The family would also like to thank Hatley Health Care for the patience and love shown by them during their mother’s brief stay and Southern Care Hospice for their kindness during the last few days.

Mother is now home and she is once again happy and healthy.

We thank God for this.

Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m. on July 23 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held July 23 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
