Offices closing for Fourth of July

Government offices throughout Chilton County will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of the Fourth of July.

A few offices will remain closed on Friday, July 5, including the Chilton County Courthouse and Jemison City Hall. Below is a list of the closures as well as alternate garbage schedules for trash that is normally collected on Thursday.

• Jemison City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 and garbage pick-up will not be affected.

• Maplesville Town Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and will re-open on July 5. Garbage is normally picked up on Thursday and will be picked up this week on Friday.

•Clanton City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Garbage pick-up will not be affected.

•Thorsby City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Garbage pick-up will not be affected.

•Jefferson State Community College Chilton-Clanton campus will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Classes will resume on Friday, July 5.
