The 2013 Chilton County Peach Festival Cook-Off was held Saturday at Thorsby First Baptist Church.
As judges deliberated over dishes and chose cook-off winners, Christiana Mendoza, director of the Chilton Food Innovation Center in Clanton, entertained guests with a food demonstration featuring different ways to cook with eggs.
Youth Division cook-off winners were:
•First Place: Ashley Beth Jones with her Grilled Peach Tart.
•Second Place: Gracie Friday with her Peaches-N-Cream No-Bake Cheesecake.
•Third Place: Allie Friday with her Peach Whirligigs.
Adult Division cook-off winners were:
•First Place: Luis Mendoza with his Chile Relleno with Peach Salsa.
•Second Place: Patsy Ratliff with her Peach Pie.
•Third Place: Elizabeth Hawley with her Creamy Peach Pie.
